Jochen Klaus Schubert
Prof Dr. med. habil. Dipl. Chem. Jochen Klaus Schubert: D.E.A.A. Physician and chemist, Professor in Anaesthesiology. Vice Director of Dpt. of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, head of clinical Anaesthesia at Rostock University Medical Center.
He received his MSc in chemistry in 1981, his medical diploma in 1987. Since then he is working as a medical doctor.
He is responsible for all medical and organizational issues occurring in the department. The Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care employs 90 physicians and 140 nurses to deliver anaesthesia in 25 ORs and to run a 36 bed interdisciplinary intensive care unit. The department is in charge of the emergency room and the emergency ambulances in the town of Rostock.
Member of DGAI (Deutsche GesellschaftfürAnästhesiologie und Intensivtherapie), BDA (BerufsverbandDeutscherAnästhesisten), IABR (International Association for Breath Research). The Rostock group is one of the leading breath research groups worldwide. The team at Rostock University represents ample expertise in analytical and medical science and application. In addition, there is a broad experience in carrying out clinical studies and applying new techniques in breath research. Prof. Schubert has more than 15 years’ experience in the field of breath research and is cofounder of the international society of breath research (IABR) and an internationally recognized expert in the field.
